I have a nephew, the oldest grandchild, who will be graduating from University in a couple months. He’s technically done with school, but has to wait to walk and get his diploma…so exciting. My SIL and brother are throwing a big bash. I’m in charge of invites and the goodie bags.
My nephew’s major was English and Communications…but he may go into law enforcement…so we wanted a bit of a survival theme for the party.

There were a lot of parts a pieces that went into this invite. The card front was impressed with my wood grain impression plate from PTI and white washed with Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Picket Fence. I cut out the cap and diploma with my Cricut and stamped the 2012 on the diploma. The black fabric is burlap. I found a backpack in my clipart and modified to fit my needs. I then printed on camo paper and cut out. I made the book with black cardstock and added a few sheets of bookprint to the inside so it looks like a real book…I attached all the pages together with my tiny attacher. The flag gun was also clipart that I modified to have the you’re invited text, which I printed and hand cut. Everything was attached with foam tape except the diploma and the book.
I’m still working on the goodie bags and will show you those when I am done…making 40 of them out of canvas fabric!
So, what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by!
