I got this idea from my blog friend LollyChops. Last spring she covered some pear shapes with buttons and I thought…hmmm…this would be great on eggs for an Easter decoration. Well unfortunately my eggs ended being on back order for a couple months and I didn’t get them til way after Easter…so I get to do them this year!
We made two sets of each color..one for my mom…and one for my brother and SIL since my nephew wanted some to take home. I made some for myself the next day.
I used paper mache eggs, painted them in a color close to the buttons I was going to use. Once that was dry I hot glued a million buttons onto each egg…went through lots of glue sticks!

I packaged up in a cello bag and tied up with some twine.
Still working on the rest of my spring/easter ensemble so I’ll show you a picture of my eggs when I’m done. I think I’m going to make some blocks like I did the other day, except in lovely spring colors. Haven’t decided if I want to put “spring” or “easter” on them…thinking “spring” as I can keep them out after the holiday 🙂
So what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by!
