My SIL Shelly has a birthday on Saturday…but we celebrated on the 4th as the whole family was together. As I’ve been making bath products as gifts lately…I thought I’d do the same for her. I made two bars of soap…Honey Almond and White Ginger and Amber with Oatmeal. As well as some body scrub in matching scents. They smelled great. My M&P soap, scents and bath salts were purchased at Brambleberry. I used my Papertrey Ink stamps to make an impression in the soaps and give it a little extra flair. I used real almonds and oatmeal which I gounded up very fine. These will serve as a light exfoliant. I also crocheted a soap bag out of pure cotton yarn. She can put her soap in here and hang in the shower. Much easier than soaping up a wash cloth.
The bag was made out of some canvas fabric I had…I love this stuff. I stamped on it with more PTI stamps and used some felt I got from April at Felt-O-Rama for the flowers. I created the tag using kraft cardstock. I stamped the leaf image, another PTI stamp, and embossed with clear powder. With my ink blending tool I added Peeled Paint and Faded Jean Distress ink. I spritzed with pearlized water and got a great shimmery effect. I added a few Robin’s Nest Gems and finished off with some tea dyed twill ribbon.
